NONTOBEKO ROSEMARY JACOBS ai??i?? MANAGING DIRECTOR:
Holds Honours in Business Management and Administration from The University of Stellenbosch Business School. She obtained postgraduate certificates in Management Practice and Organisational Development from Rhodes University and the Graduate Facility of the New School of Social Research (New York) respectively. She is a qualified registered nurse and midwife, trained at Baragwanath and Frere Hospitals respectively. She has worked with womenai??i??s groups as a Community Liaison and Facilitation Officer for the Population Development Programme in the Eastern Cape. She has recently received a Certificate in Project Administration for the UCT in partnership with Get Smarter.
Nontobeko has worked as a researcher at UCTai??i??s School of Public Health and Family MedicineAi??co-ordinating Research Studies amongst others, The Prevention of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome; Pesticides Poisoning (organophoshate)
Her work and consulting experience also includes Communication Planning and Management; Housing Development Facilitation and Community Consultation; Community Based Project design and implementation. She has been trained by Private Agencies Collaborating Together (PACT), Johannesburg in Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PM & E) process.
She is an accredited member of the South African Translators Institute (SATI). She has been actively involved in facilitating communication and understanding of the Cityai??i??s General Valuation Process and Cityai??i??s New Rates and Tariffs Policy especially amongst the communities whose properties have never been valued and have never paid rates.
FEZEKA LULAMA MAVUSO ai??i?? PROJECT MANAGER:
FEZEKA LULAMA MAVUSO ai??i?? PROJECT MANAGER: Fezeka holds a B. Com Degree from the University of Fort Hare, Higher Diploma in Education from UWC and Honours Degree in Business Management and Administration from the University of Stellenbosch (Business School). She started working as a teacher for the Department of Education and quickly went through the ranks to be a manager for 14 years. She has extensive experience and knowledge in Educational Management and Leadership Development. She has also been involved in strategy development, people management, stakeholder management, financial management, research and development, training and capacity building.
She has worked as an HR consultant in Eskom focusing on HR Planning and Development and also worked as a freelance training consultant for other consulting companies like Magida Human Capital as a Business Mentor and Impact Consulting which specializes in socio-economic development projects.
In 2009 she joined Umtha Strategy Planning and Development Consultancy as a consultant and now a Projects Manager. She has been involved mainly in training, facilitation and capacity building projects. She is an accredited trainer, assessor and moderator registered with the Services SETA.
BUSISIWE JOORS ai??i?? PROJECT MANAGER:
Busisiwe holds a National Diploma in Internal Auditing from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, a Project Management certificate and she is an accredited Facilitator registered with the ETDP SETA. She started working for Umtha Strategy Planning and Development Consultancy in 2009 as an Administrator and now is a Project Manager.
She has been involved in Communication Education and Awareness and a number of Housing Facilitation Projects as a Social Facilitator.
She offers support to various other projects undertaken, Busisiwe is a reliable, hard working person who keeps a high level of performance whilst retaining integrity.
THABISA JOKWANA ai??i?? ASSISTANT TO PROJECT MANAGER AND DATA CAPTURER:
She holds a National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting from Cape Peninsula University of Technology and started working for Umtha Strategy Planning and Development Consultancy in 2012. Her main duties involve data managements( Sorting, capturing and processing). She is involved in assisting in the following projects:
- Education and Awareness Projects,
- Housing Facilitation Projects for the City of Cape TownAi?? and
- BardaleAi?? Housing Development.
- I also assist in admin at the office where necessaryAi?? .
SIPHOKAZI GQAMANE ai??i?? OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR:
Siphokazi holds a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Boston City Campus and Business College. She also holds a certificate in Professional Communication and Office Management from the UCT in partnership with GetSmarter. Through the course she has achieved skills to administer all the day-to-day office functions in an efficient and professional manner. She manages all the administrative requirements associated with the company and performs secretarial activities associated with providing support to line managers. She is also responsible for the Directors diary and calendar, arranging meetings, booking of venues and maintaining the filing system by ensuring all files are up to date.
THANDO JACOBS ai??i?? DESIGN AND PRODUCTION MANAGER:
Thando Jacobs has a Diploma in Visual Communication specializing in Art Direction and Design from the AAA school of Advertising in Cape Town in 2009. Before this he was briefly a Public Relations Practitioner after graduating with an ND in Public Relations Management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town in 2007.
After Studying, he then did in-service training as a Public Relations Practitioner at HWB Communications in Cape Town. This was followed by internship this time as a Junior Art Director at the Jupiter Drawing Room advertising agency in Cape Town.
Thando Jacobs has also worked as an onset/office runner for Navigator Film Studios, as well as previously being involved in the music industry as part of Chamber Concept a Hip-Hop music act where he wrote, composed andAi?? performed music which was successful but more of a hobby.
Since then he has been employed by Umtha Strategy Planning and Development Consultancy, where he heads up the Design and Creative Department doing design and creative arts work for Umtha Consultancy for the The City of Cape Town ai??i?? Water Demand Management project. At Umtha he also works as an Assistant Project Manager on various projects, working the City of Cape Town one of the major clients of Umtha Consultancy. This has also allowed him to develop camera skills, having worked as a cameraman on the Official Schools Water Conservation Initiative 2011, a project run by Umtha Consultancy for The City of Cape Town in schools around the Western Cape.
In addition to working for Umtha, he also freelances under his own brand Civilized Flavour, whereby he does more creative and design work for various clients mainly in the creative arts when possible.
